지난 2017년 8월 8일 ‘해양도시 구조물의 상태평가를 위한 선진 기술 동향’이라는 주제로 The State University of New Jersey의 Nenad Gucunski 교수를 초청하여 세미나를 진행했다.
Nenad Gucunski 교수는 ‘Advanced non-destructive evaluation methods for condition assessment of civil infrastructure in the U.S.’라는 제목으로 미국의 구조물 비파괴 평가에 대한 연구결과에 대하여 소개하였으며, 향후 해양도시건설·방재연구소에서 진행 중인 연구와 협업할 것을 약속했다.
Nenad Gucunski 교수는 현재 미국 토목공학회 회원, 미국 교통연구위원회 위원이며, Advanced and Transportion’s Infrastructure Condition Monitoring Program을 위한 센터장으로 구조물 비파괴 평가 연구분야의 저명한 연구자이다.
